Just wanted to mention a minor move the Yankees made.
According to Hardball Talk, the Yanks have claimed Eury Perez off of waivers from the Washington Nationals.
"Designated for assignment by the Nationals last week, 24-year-old outfielder Eury Perez has been claimed off waivers by the Yankees.
Perez struggles to control the strike zone and lacks power, but he’s hit .310 with 63 stolen bases in 193 career games at Triple-A. And overall in the minors he’s hit at least .300 in each of the past three seasons."
Meh. Not overly excited about this, but I can see this guy contributing at some point. He young, he's got the energy, the speed and I'm on board I think. If the Yanks think he can help the club, I'm willing to welcome Perez.
