Hot off the presses. Or, better yet... hot of Jack Curry's Twitter feed. I love that guy!
According to Curry, the Yankees are expected to hire former Dodgers coach Jeff Pentland for the hitting coach job AS WELL AS... that's right, 2 hitting coaches... Alan Cockrell too.
But Cockrell will be an assistant hitting coach.

Interesting. I think I like it.Curry went on with some fun information:
Pentland has been hitting coach for Marlins, Cubs (worked with Girardi), Royals (when Pena was MGR/Beltran a player), Mariners and Dodgers.

Cockrell was hitting coach for 2007 Rockies team that went to the WS and was also a hitting coach for the Mariners. Played 9 games in majors

Source: Pentland/Cockrell were impressive in interviews w/ Yankees. Team is very comfortable with collaborative effort of 2 hitting coaches.
